  This place is fantastic. You drive in, stop the car, they open your trunk and take all your waste. It works best if the electronic waste (old computers, toasters, fluorescent lights, batteries, etc) is separated from the hazardous waste (oil, oil filters, paint). I put them in separate cardboard boxes. They empty out the boxes and I am on my way. No questions asked.They are only open on the weekends and not in the rain.
  
  They do not accept tires or medical waste.

  Fast, friendly, personnel unloaded all our old paint and motor oil in a couple of minutes. It took 2 of us nearly an hour to load the car with it!

  Had a great experience dropping off. The woman at the gate was very friendly and the crew we're very respectful and efficient. One of the men was sure to thank everyone for coming and even thank the car in front of me for taping up all the florescent bulbs they were bringing in. No complaints at all.

  Really nice e-waste drop-off center. Part of the LA City S.A.F.E. program. Has weekend hours only (Saturday and Sunday) and closes in the afternoon. On the East side of Balboa, just South of the gas station on the corner. Put all items for pickup in the trunk. Drive in, pop the lid, and they take it all out. Drive away. Seems to be relatively low-traffic.

  The people who work here are quick and pleasant. They do a great job and you don't get out of your car. Just open your trunk/rear gate and let them remove your items. They will ask you what you are bringing and occasionally your zip code. More people should be using this service and keeping waste out of our landfills and water sources.
